nilki's family
Ikan Bakar
I had lunch with another old friend today. I waited from him at the lobby of the Petronas Twin Tower at noon. Soon after, he came enthusiastically and off we went for lunch. We went to this place located behind Bank Simpanan Nasional head office which sells delicious and reasonable priced ikan bakar. It's was only a walking distance from the KLCC.
We took ikan pari bakar one each and I went for budu as well. Wow, it's been awhile since the last time I had ikan bakar with budu and the lunch outing was made even better and more importantly that I had it with my mate, Rusty.
Rusty masih lagi hensem siot. Patutler Chu dulu berebut lu, ek? (ngan awek mana, huh? wa lupa arr... Oooooppsss...). Perut masih maintain, belum boroi lagi tapi rambut panjang sudah tarak. Anak dah tiga siot and the eldest is 8 years old!!! Damn... how fast time flies...
Anyway, as usual, we spoke about good olde times and update each other about our own progress and friends's too. He's an avid golfer now, so nilki, next time you come down to KL, maybe we should go and play somewhere. Keat or Pelepek can join too and complete the flight. The rest and wives can lepaking playing cards or skateboarding at the clubhouse.
We further dwelled into more serious topics on how to bring back everyone together, as many as possible and make it fun to be together again eventhough it's only on internet now. Names like Stone, TZ, Izzat were mentioned as these people will add sentimental value to the current initiatives. Then, i told him about the discovery of Dak Adil/Padil/Phassex/Fast-sex/Otai Tampin/Caps Lock after he went to oblivion for so many years. It was a milestone to tracked him down and brought him back to the group. Welcome back, roomate and doubles partner gue and Plainwater skillful bassist...!! Your jokes were of a different planet and we'd enjoyed it in the past and we want to enjoy it more and more now.
We further talked about having a family day like event, where our spouses, fiancee, gf and children can enjoy a day out without having to splash or burn our money. We talked about this private picnic place somewhere nearby by Zoo Negara, an untouched river stream, complete with F&B and resting place and the possibility of paintball war for the guys...!!! Haha... Sounds fun and exciting....
Well, let's see how this group develops before we have a concrete plan for the event...
Till then.... ciaoo...

TransDieHarry
This movie brought back a lot of memories about the cartoon hit series. If you were born in the 70's, you'll be fed by a huge dosage of great cartoon productions like Voltron, Transformers, Thundercats, Smurf, X-Men and lots of others.
Anyway, Steven Spielberg and Michael Bay did a good job in bringing the cartoon characters to life. A good blend of jokes and great sci-fi animations will make you glued to your seat. It gives me shivers when Optimus Prime introduced himself in the movie using the original voice of the person whom had mesmerised us in the cartoon character voice over..!!!
However, i thought that Astro's version of transformers (a commercial ad where a few robots appeared from a spaceship started changing into a footballer, F-1 car and the tennis player) is much sleekier than the ones in the movie. Furthermore, Megatron looked more like a bunch of shiny and polished scrap metal put together to make into a robot that change into a F-22 jet fighter when his original version cartoon character was actually a gun..! Math Mute did badly in the OST too. I hardly heard the addictive tune of the "Transformers.... more than meets the eye.."
Anyway, forget about sensible plots and twisted tale as this movie has none of it. Those who have not gone and watch it, go and watch it. Watching a DVD version will not give you the same kind of sensation when the Autobots and Decepticons transform into robots and back to its machines form. Just enjoy it as the movie is not short of entertainment and fascinate yourself with fantastic CGI work from a great film production crew. Kik.. kuk.. kuk.. kik.. kuk...
Anyway, i find a bit disappointed with the movie. First of all, it's short compared to the other HP's installments. 2 hours to be exact. Secondly, I am not a HP book reader but i think a lot of details has been taken out from the plot. My sister confirmed this with me as the were a lot of scenes which i can't correlate with the previous installments and make sense out of some actions in the movie. Thirdly, there were less magical type scenes other than the last part where Harry and Dumbledore went head-to-head with Voldermort. Overall, the movie fell below my expectation and if you are not a Daniel Radcliff's fan, dont bother watching it. It is more fit to HP hard core fans who'd like to enjoy watching the book characters coming to life and for the sake of completing the series. If you havent watch the earlier installments, you'll be at lost. Petrificus Totalus..!!!
Cheers....

please enjoy this clip..
not sure u guys can view it or not since it is quite big file , 18mb
The number you have dialled, is not in service
This jejak kasih thingy has caught my attention for the last few days. Infact, it has come to my sense that i have been neglecting a part of my life far too long i.e. ignoring people whom i loved most and sidelining things/activities which i enjoyed most.
Then, when i searched and scrolled down my phonebook, i have realised that i don't have many of my friends hp no. Jibam, Sadat, Malik, Adimus, Lamkee, Dome, Izat, Bob Islam, Jedai and loads of others, i wonder where are you guys now? Is it impossible to track you guys down? Some of them, i can remember the faces but i can't really put a name to him/her e.g. Ida's original sidekick and she's not Popon! What's her name, huh? How can a jejak kasih effort be a success if we don't even have their contact number in our phonebook?... hmm... pls check your phonebook too guys....
Looking at those numbers in the phonebook, how do we know whether the numbers are still contactable? Nowadays, people change handphones as fast as nikki changed his gurlfriends in the past (Noni, nih cite dulu2... jgn mare) or people change their email addresses whenever they change jobs or people will have many email addresses due to various freewares available on the internet and we will not know which email he or she opens the most frequent. Infact, i have 4 email addresses - 1 for working, 1 yahoo, 1 gmail and 1 for personal business.
Anyway, yesterday i tried calling a few numbers on my way home from work. Pelepek's, Popon's and Ida's numbers didn't work anymore. However, i managed to engage with Rocky, Fassek and Sawo. 3 out of 6, i failed to contact. 50% failure rate. That's very high.
I suspect the same could be the case for the email addresses too because i have invited some 20 of our friends to be contributors and only less than half had replied. Those who'd replied, Thank you mates....
However, this phenomenon further justifies the very existence of our blog. This blog will allow all of our friends to visit and view regardless of their mobility and timing, provided they have an internet access. I pledge to everyone to keep spreading the words far and wide, high and low, inside and outside - so that it reaches to as many of our friends as possible. We need to gather, share and get our network up and running again. Let's start small and grow bigger as we move along.
I want to add album and a directory of contact details like email add & phone nos but i don't know how as i am a newbie in blogging. Whoever can do this please assist and i will upgrade you to admin status. (Araya, i have upgraded you to admin for technical support purposes).
Cheers....

Tea at Eddie's
It seemed like we didn't had enough of chatting at kari kepala ikan joint the day before, we met-up again for tea at Eddie's house.
Guys - Eddie's house is huge, massive, quiet neighbourhood, surrounded with trees, cooling and a nice lawn big enough to stage a mini concert . I suggest that next time when we meet, this is the place to be. We should gather at his house and have a pot-luck style meal or we can also chip in a few bucks and organised a partayyy.....
The figurines and miniature toys in the glass cabinet flanking his 29" TV are cool.... I've never known that Eddie is a movie-toy freak and a collector of momentos from box-office or all time fav movies/cartoons etc... Nice hobby...
Since i didnt go to his wedding, I met Eddie's beloved for the first time... She's a beauty complete with an addictive smile, pleasant personality and good manners... pandai gak Eddie pilih .. hehe... (nasib baik nikki takde masa ko bercinta, Eddie. Nnt karang dia plak sapu kat Pesta Pulau Pinang)
Anyway, Eddie pulled out three of his albums and we ran through some of the old photos. Damnn.... it's hilarious to see some your your once young faces... You should see gambaq Ejay -mak aiii, gila panjang dagu dia siot ader janggut sejemput, Nilki lak rambut cam anak Siam, Rocky cam serial killer, Rusty cam rock band star, Padil cam model sabun etek or 'Attack' etc. Eddie will scan some of it and post it here.
While we were catching up each other progress, it was shocking to know that his family was once living in the same area where my wife was brought up. Furthermore, his mother knew almost every member of my father-in-law's family side and their nicknames! How surprised i was and i've been wondering whether eddie and my wife could be related in some way. Will dig further into this matter. What a small world, huh? What comes around, go around....
We had pasembur and teh O suam. Then, around 5 something, Eddie sent me to my in-laws house on his way out to OU.
It was indeed a meaningful way to spent my weekend there.
P/S : Eddie's house is behind UM, a living quarters area for her academicians. If you are coming from MSC (big bike shop), u'll pass KFC and stay left, look for the next turning to the left near a huge condo and immediately turn right (you'll see an abandoned pak guard house, ignore it), follow the route and his house is on your right, No. 21).

Kuzy's Wedding
His-story
Plainwater?? what the??!!..there were 4 college rockstar wannabes-geared with only one electric guitar(of course lah araya)-played punk rock tunes-influenced by the sex pistol-green day-weezer(god)-dung-additional rockstar such as upiq, opaq and rusty-regularly jammed in nayan bayan baru and air itam-performed at cahaya, aman, harapan and dreamt of glastonbury or loolapalooza maybe!-we enjoyed the feeling surrounded by groupie-steven,ida,popon,ejay,bob,niki and eddie-we missed our midnite movie night out at cathay then ate char kuey teow at sany-my story his story -all history....its me aiiehensemsekali.
Old Buddy
Yesterday, after a long silence, i saw him came on-line on YM. I buzzed him. He buzzed back. We talked for a while and started exchanging "local u/g tunes?. "Ada, jap aku pass kat ngko".
Today, we buzzed each other and started exchanging files on YM again. We talked from one topic to the other, most of it trying to catch up on loss times. Little that i knew that he's been working in KL for the past three years since graduation and living just behind UM..!!! He's now working in Universiti Malaysia (UM), a qualified doctorate, researcher cum academician. Who would have thought that this rascal has what it takes to reach the pinnacle of tertiary education. I am proud of him. I am, bro.
Anyway, he was still downloading "aint nuttin but a G thang" when i mooted the idea to go for lunch. He was really excited and agreed that we meet somewhere near his place. I played truant and disappeared from office around 1130am. Hell, it's been a long time since he last time i did this. But for friend's sake, nevermind lah. I got onto the Putra LRT and rode towards Kerinchi station. He was there in his grayish cute car waiting for me just as i exited the station. He came with his colleague who looked far more innocent than him. Hahahah... yes, you look as devilish as ever.
First impression, there's no more long hair, a lil' bit meaty, same smile, same height and the childish face is still evident.
We went straight to an eating place in Bangsar nearby TMC area. We sat at a table on the pavement under the tree and next to a longkang. Well, once you have had kueh teow longkang and survived the stench smell and scurrying rats around the cooking area, definitely, you will survive any other eateries near a longkang. We ordered rice, fried chicken, taugeh and KARI KEPALA IKAN. Perrghhhh..... sedap gilosss.... We talked and rekindled the sweet memories that we had during our uni days. His colleague was bewildered and i think he saw a different side of him. From tennis to rambutan to Lembah Burung durian to Aiie skipping friday prayer to Bob stinging poker TV and electricity charges, we laughed while enjoying the food. Aiie, Ejay, Araya, Dak Adil, Steven, Ida, Popon, Tabira, Ed, Nilki, Adibi, Uyep were some of the names that came up and we were trying to match the stories with. Haha... We even planned to meet each more often from now on. This could be just the start to many other things.
After lunch, we went straight to TNB's surau and performed Friday prayer. We were talking maybe we should do a kinda jejak kasih thingy by gathering Plainwater clan again. Many of us now have families, career and busy looking after their personal life. However, maybe it's also the best time for us to start searching and looking for each other again. The past few years had been tough to some of us starting our own life, working very hard to provide food on the table and trying to establish oneself in the commnity, thus, most of us had gone our own way and the friendship was left aside.
However, our friendship will never die. The flame is still there and the joy of meeting each other is something, i believe everyone is looking forward to. Let's prepare ourselves and work together to light up the network again. Everyone should contribute and play their part in this jejak kasih effort. This blog will be one of the communication channel which is accesible to everyone within the clan. Please spread the words around and tell them about this blog. Pelepek, Lamkee, Keat, Malik, Bob, Rocky etc.... where are you guys? I missed you.
Anway, later we took some photos just for remembrance. He then sent me to the Kerinchi LRT station and i rode back to KLCC with good memories.
Nice to see you again buddy, Eddie (Rosmadi a.k.a. OAG poser).
