Old Buddy

It's been a long time ago since the last time i saw him.

Yesterday, after a long silence, i saw him came on-line on YM. I buzzed him. He buzzed back. We talked for a while and started exchanging "local u/g tunes?. "Ada, jap aku pass kat ngko".

Today, we buzzed each other and started exchanging files on YM again. We talked from one topic to the other, most of it trying to catch up on loss times. Little that i knew that he's been working in KL for the past three years since graduation and living just behind UM..!!! He's now working in Universiti Malaysia (UM), a qualified doctorate, researcher cum academician. Who would have thought that this rascal has what it takes to reach the pinnacle of tertiary education. I am proud of him. I am, bro.

Anyway, he was still downloading "aint nuttin but a G thang" when i mooted the idea to go for lunch. He was really excited and agreed that we meet somewhere near his place. I played truant and disappeared from office around 1130am. Hell, it's been a long time since he last time i did this. But for friend's sake, nevermind lah. I got onto the Putra LRT and rode towards Kerinchi station. He was there in his grayish cute car waiting for me just as i exited the station. He came with his colleague who looked far more innocent than him. Hahahah... yes, you look as devilish as ever.

First impression, there's no more long hair, a lil' bit meaty, same smile, same height and the childish face is still evident.

We went straight to an eating place in Bangsar nearby TMC area. We sat at a table on the pavement under the tree and next to a longkang. Well, once you have had kueh teow longkang and survived the stench smell and scurrying rats around the cooking area, definitely, you will survive any other eateries near a longkang. We ordered rice, fried chicken, taugeh and KARI KEPALA IKAN. Perrghhhh..... sedap gilosss.... We talked and rekindled the sweet memories that we had during our uni days. His colleague was bewildered and i think he saw a different side of him. From tennis to rambutan to Lembah Burung durian to Aiie skipping friday prayer to Bob stinging poker TV and electricity charges, we laughed while enjoying the food. Aiie, Ejay, Araya, Dak Adil, Steven, Ida, Popon, Tabira, Ed, Nilki, Adibi, Uyep were some of the names that came up and we were trying to match the stories with. Haha... We even planned to meet each more often from now on. This could be just the start to many other things.

After lunch, we went straight to TNB's surau and performed Friday prayer. We were talking maybe we should do a kinda jejak kasih thingy by gathering Plainwater clan again. Many of us now have families, career and busy looking after their personal life. However, maybe it's also the best time for us to start searching and looking for each other again. The past few years had been tough to some of us starting our own life, working very hard to provide food on the table and trying to establish oneself in the commnity, thus, most of us had gone our own way and the friendship was left aside.

However, our friendship will never die. The flame is still there and the joy of meeting each other is something, i believe everyone is looking forward to. Let's prepare ourselves and work together to light up the network again. Everyone should contribute and play their part in this jejak kasih effort. This blog will be one of the communication channel which is accesible to everyone within the clan. Please spread the words around and tell them about this blog. Pelepek, Lamkee, Keat, Malik, Bob, Rocky etc.... where are you guys? I missed you.

Anway, later we took some photos just for remembrance. He then sent me to the Kerinchi LRT station and i rode back to KLCC with good memories.

Nice to see you again buddy, Eddie (Rosmadi a.k.a. OAG poser).
