Penang CNY 2008 - Teluk Tempoyak

Later, we went to Teluk Tempoyak for dinner. They way to there is much easier now than before. You can take the Seagate hiway right to the end. Then after two traffic lights, you turn left going uphill. Go up and down winding road until you a kampung nelayan. There are two seafood place now. You will reach the first one, slightly above the other one and according to my brother, this one is better. However, i insisted of going to the original Teluk Tempoyak seafood place which you have to go further down right to the shore.

The place is exactly the same like before.

We were quite late (8iish pm) and tinggal sepinggan kerang rebus jer. Adie said i should have waited a little bit longer and they will re-stock the fresh prawns, crabs and fishes.

We also ordered a few more dishes like tomyam campur, kangkung belacan, air laici (satu jug), air kelapa etc. I find the cooking were a bit disappointed. I am not sure whether the standard has dropped or sbb dulu2 masa student tak mampu nak lain and biler dapat seafood teluk tempoyak dah kira grandious larrrr. However, if you want have a lonely planet type makan experience, then this place fit its bill. I was there just to rekindle past memories and sharing it with my families.
